Eddie Cheung

Professor and Director, Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, Fellow of the International Academy of Proctology, Professor of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology - Hepatology at the California Northstate University College of Medicine, Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Hepatology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, and Professor of Gastroenterology/Hepatology and Internal Medicine at the Sun Yat-sen University. 

Dr. Eddie Cheung specializes in clinical and scientific research, training and development of hepatitis, liver cancer, cirrhosis, and various hepatobiliary diseases, as well as being experienced in clinical and scientific training. Professor Cheung has chaired and lectured at numerous international and national academic seminars, given countless lectures on various topics of viral hepatitis, liver cancer and other liver diseases, gastrointestinal cancers, and other digestive diseases. 

Dr. Cheung has engaged in clinical practice, research and teaching in various fields of Gastroenterology and Hepatology for over forty years in the U.S. and China. He is a member of the International Advisory Committee on Liver Diseases. He has been on the Board of Directors and Chair of the IT Committee of the Community Bank of the Bay.

Professor Cheung has worked as a chapter writer for several specialized books on liver diseases and more than thirty of his scientific papers have been published in several major medical journals. Dr. Cheung has earned numerous awards and top honors from the Veterans Healthcare System, the National Community Health Service, and the American Salvation Army, among many other awards and recognitions.
