What is Hepatorenal Syndrome (HRS)?

WEBINAR:

Feb 16, 2023

5:30pm to 6:30pm PDT

Hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) is a life-threatening medical condition that consists of rapid deterioration in kidney function in individuals with cirrhosis of the liver or sudden liver failure. HRS may be fatal unless a liver transplant is performed, although various treatments, such as dialysis, can prevent advancement of the condition. The only certain way to prevent HRS is to keep your liver healthy.

To reduce your risk of developing cirrhosis, avoid drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, and avoid contracting Hepatitis.
